Coral Reef Story – 2021
Paintings – Acrylic on Canvas – 40 x 40 cm (pre-stretched)
Coral Reefs are all around the Gulf Country. They are like underwater flower gardens. These reefs appear often in the artwork of local indigenous people, as they form an important part of the saltwater story. Harvesting food from the sea around the Sir Edward Pellow Islands has always been an important food source, and even today fishing using very simple hook and line methods is part of everyday life.
